A new study published on Wednesday by NOAH-Friends of the Earth Denmark concludes that the technology known as “Carbon Capture and Storage” (CCS) is completely inefficient in the long-term to mitigate polluting emissions of coal power plants and industries.
The report states that over 90 per cent of global emissions expected for the 2010-2050 period from the main coal power plants will anyway reach the atmosphere if Carbon Capture and Storage is implemented as a mitigating technology.
To know more about this new research, Real World Radio interviewed Palle Bendsen, Climate spokesperson for NOAH-Friends of the Earth Denmark.
