He said that one of the commitments assumed by the Bolivian President Evo Morales for his next administration is to put an end to the strong dependence on imported products to create the food basket of the Bolivians.
Real World Radio interviewed Miguel Lora, columnist of Bolpress website and member of the communications team of the Vice ministry of Land in Bolivia.
Next Sunday 6th there will be elections in Bolivia.
The Movement to Socialism will seek the reelection of Evo Morales for the 2010-2015 term.
In the recent days there were campaign closing acts in several Bolivian regions.
According to the polls, Evo Morales is 30 percentage points ahead of the right-wing options.
The wheat, with which bread is made in Bolivia is currently imported, even coming from ’donations’ of the US, says Miguel.
He added that the doubt is what will be the winning percentage for Evo Morales.
“In the second term in office we will cultivate our own food, which is much healthier and nutritious than the imported industrial food”, says Lora.
Miguel Lora also analyzed the importance of the Bolivian election in the Latin American context, after Sunday’s elections in Honduras under the dictatorship and the reelection of left-wing party Frente Amplio in Uruguay.
His personal view is that the Bolivian right-wing has no political or social discourse, which leaves it with “no chance of even going to a run-off”.
