Denouncing and Resisting
In the context of the international campaign against land grabbing, Real World Radio offers this special section including testimonies of the resistance and the effects of this global process that goes against the rights of communities and the sovereignty of the countries.
This section will have the support of Grain through www.farmlandgrab.org, which includes interviews and reports about the global push for buying or renting crop lands in foreign countries as a strategy to ensure the supply of basic food or just as a way to make money.

The corrupt Paraguayan judicial system, the de facto powers of landowners and communication media “have made up a story which has resulted in a conviction without investigating absolutely nothing”. New murders in Honduras: in this case, youth leaders who were participating in land recovery processes
The Regional Agrarian Platform of Valle del Aguán, Honduras, denounced on Monday afternoon the murder of Alan Reyneri Martínez Pérez (19) and Manuel Milla (25), members of the “Gregorio Chávez” Peasant Project of Panamá Community, Trujillo, Colón, before the eyes of many children who were watching a football match. Argentina: MOCASE prevented violent eviction of seven peasant families - the Canido family and their company Manaos are to blame
A large group of police officers attempted to evict seven families of the Peasant Movement of Santiago del Estero Province (MOCASE - Via Campesina) of Argentina, in Bajo Hondo community, Moreno department. The quick moves by MOCASE managed to prevent the violent extraction of the peasants from the lands they have been inhabiting for thousands of years. Read more

The worsening of an Honduras successor of the coup d´Etat of 2009
The Transnational Institute of the Netherlands denounced a deepening of human rights violations in Honduras, as well as women rights violations, and warns about the institutional way in which violence is expressed. "There is a complete institutional deficiency, there is no space to claim justice" said Lyda Forero, who participated in the "International Peoples´ Meeting - Berta Cáceres Lives On" in Honduras, from April 13-15.
