Amigos de la Tierra Internacional es una de las organizaciones presentes en el foro. La federación organizó un seminario sobre Plantaciones, REDD y Privatización en la Universidad Federal de Pará (UFPA).

Una de las principales oradoras fue Ronnie Hall, investigadora de Amigos de la Tierra Internacional y la Coalición Mundial de Bosques.

Hall habló sobre los impactos negativos que tiene REDD (Reducción de Emisiones por Deforestación y Degradación) en los bosques y especialmente en las comunidades indígenas.

Friends of the Earth International was one of organizations present at the forum. The federation organized a seminar on Plantations, REDD and Privatization at the Federal University of Para (UFPA).

One of the main speakers was Ronnie Hall, a researcher with Friends of the Earth International and the Global Forest Coalition.
She talked about the negative impacts of REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation) on forests and especially on indigenous communities.
